THE CURRICULUM
Open a topic to see what we explore.
Reference analysis, contrast, exposure and saturation. Turn a visual intention into decisions that support the film.
A reliable starting point, color management, HDR and the connection between technical constraints and the desired image.
Tone curves, split toning, subtractive saturation, color models and matrices. Look beyond a single pleasing still.
Understand LUT limitations and use DCTLs to examine or build custom transforms. Stress-test the result across different images.
Communicate the look, navigate client feedback, and connect creative choices to the realities of a professional project.
Resolve templates, node structures, still references, DCTLs, and camera-test and show-look material support the discussions.
Analog and digital images, texture, contrast, music-video aesthetics and a recognisable visual identity.
A separate module, subject to availability. Published fee: HUF 48,000 + VAT, in addition to the core program.
This is for people who already grade and want to examine their decisions more deeply. If you are still building your first color workflow, start with Accelerator or discuss a personal program with me.
Six three-hour studio sessions: four with Dávid Láposi and two with Horváth Levente. The standard published tuition is HUF 289,000 + VAT. The optional film-look module is separate.
Dates and available places are confirmed on enquiry. The workshop is in person at the Budapest studio; online attendance and recordings are not part of the published format.
An appealing still is a starting point. We look at how contrast, color relationships, texture and exposure behave across different scenes, cameras and lighting conditions.
The discussions move between creative judgement and image science, with client communication and professional constraints kept in view.
Resolve project templates, node structures, still references, DCTLs, camera-test footage and show-look material support continued exploration after the workshop.
The core program is held in person, in a group of 6–8. We confirm the dates and the optional film-look module with you directly.
