Transparent and fair pricing

Just wanted to give you a heads-up on the cost of my services. It's all based on the project, so every price is different, but don't worry, I’m happy to give you a clear breakdown.

Sound good? Let’s see what could be on the final invoice!

  • Professional grading environment: Dedicated PC/MAC with a calibrated environment (lights and displays) for HDR and SDR deliveries up to 3000 nits. Reliable line of optical internet with 1000/1000 megabits speeds. 7.1 sound, and redundant data storage.

  • Data transfer: Transfer data from hard drives, or from online to a dedicated storage solution with redundancy and a backup plan in case of data corruption, preventing potential data loss.

  • Conforming, or migrating projects: Conforming from proxy files, proxy projects, single or individual clips. No problem!

  • Look development, show LUT creation DRWG, ACES, Rec709: If you have a specific look idea reference, show luts, etc, I can create a specific look for your show. This includes LUT communication from various spaces if needed to specific camera models such as Alexa, Venice, etc.

  • SDR/HDR delivery: Grade a conformed project, based on estimated hours (flat project fee).

  • Grade additional footage, mutations, and versions:  If your show contains different versions for different platforms or extra footage to add after the grade don’t worry about a thing. In this case, if the look was already created, I will charge just the extra hours of adjusting, and exports.

  • QC, Master, dailies, editorial exports: Quality control over master exports, h265 web delivery, DNXhd or HR for editorial, with burnin, LUTs, frame guides, and metadata communication.

  • Online backup/archive: Can be counted monthly, or until the project ends.

Here is a rate to count with on average.

250 EUR /hour
on a color grading session

1500 EUR / day
(includes 6-8 hours of grading)

120 EUR /hour non-color grading,
such as assistant editor duties, conforming, dailies creation exports, etc.

What are these hours mean in a flat project rate? Let me give an example for you.

Just wanted to touch base on the cost of grading for a music video or commercial. The amount of time it takes can vary based on factors like the cinematographer, camera choice, vision, set design, and more. But on average, it could be anywhere from 2 to 7 hours, with costs ranging from 500 EUR to 1000 EUR. Conforming, which is the process of matching the edit to the original footage, can take 1-3 hours, but in some cases, it can be skipped with proper communication. Finally, the total cost after quality control and final exports could be anywhere from 500 EUR to 3000 EUR.

Just wanted to let you know that these are estimated prices and we'll work with you to determine the final cost based on your specific needs and requirements. No surprises or extra fees for anything you haven't asked for, I’m got you covered!

Want to make the grading process as smooth and efficient as possible? Here are some tips that could help:
Minus -30%, -40%, -50%?

  • A well-designed shoot and set environment can make grading a breeze. Just be mindful of lighting changes and create a thoughtful set design during the shoot.

  • Smooth and effective grading is achieved by precise communication, including detailed references and meticulously verified XML files, thus avoiding redundant back-and-forth and optimizing version control through proper file naming.

  • By using professional cameras and appropriate media, the metadata handling process will be much smoother and faster. Plus, using proper file naming and source timecode can lead to a more automated conforming process.

  • If your edit is all set, you can skip the conforming step by sending over a single clip export with your creative intent. This will save time and keep things moving along nicely.

  • Be efficient with your mutations and share with me the longest version of your show which contains all the shots that you are going to use on the short versions. This is much faster, and you can work on your versions after.

  • Avoid any unnecessary back-and-forth by having a clear and consistent vision/comments. Sticking to your original vision will save you time and resources.

  • Give me more to work on! A whole season of a short series will be better to handle together, not episode by episode.

Overall, let’s work together to make this process as seamless as possible! Let me give you four examples of invoices from the past.
